Obituary for Joseph Lawrence Luebbers

Joseph “Joe” Lawrence Luebbers, 62, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Newport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Luebbers, and his brother, Harry “Butch” Luebbers. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Luebbers; children, Caren Enderle (Jeff), Susan Long (Andy), Melissa Askren (Scott), Adam Luebbers (Julie); sisters, Mary Koors and Therese Snowball; step-children, A.J. Whitis (Heather) and Daniel Whitis. He will be greatly missed by his 11 Grandchildren. Joe was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, as well as a Kentucky Colonel. He loved vacationing particularly at the beach. Joe will be remembered as a great man who loved his family and many friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Highway 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, Kentucky Region, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky 40222.
