Obituary for Betty Lee Blake
Betty Lee Blake, the resident of Union, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the age of 80, in Florence, Kentucky. Betty is survived by her three sons, Ronnie (Cathy) Blake, Thomas Blake (Lori Hendricks), Chris (Trisha) Blake, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, brothers Wayne, Mike, and Kenny Moore, one sister Faye Prater, and many dear friends and family. Betty was born in Jackson, Kentucky, on May 1, 1941, to the late Willie and Sarah Roberts Moore. Betty moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to pursue her career as an insurance agent. She met a traveling soldier named Ronald Nathan Blake. They fell in love and were married. Betty and Ron had three wonderful, caring, and loving boys. Betty had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up the whole room. She loved her family more than life itself, she provided great advice, babysat her grandchildren, and she was the glue that held her family together. Betty was a dedicated member and Deacon of the Union Presbyterian Church. She served as the president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years, where she met many friends along the way. Betty would lend a helping hand to any neighbor, friend, family, or stranger in need. Betty, you have fought a disease for so long; you have now arrived at your final destination with your angel wings until we meet again.
