An environmentally friendly option

Carolyn “Carol” Taylor passed on unexpectedly at the Villa Springs Rehabilitation Center on March 18, 2018 in Erlanger, KY due to complications from heart disease. She was 70 years old. Carol was born on August 3, 1947 in Madison, IN to her parents, James and Thelma Taylor who lived in Carrollton, KY. After Carol’s father James passed away, at five years old, her mother married Ezra Duncan who together raised Carol in Carrollton. She graduated from St. John’s Grade School in Carrollton, KY in 1961 and then graduated from Villa Madonna Academy in Villa Hills, KY in 1965 before attending Eastern Kentucky University. Carol then started her professional career as a shoe sales woman at Mabley & Carew in 1967, then advanced her career in distribution at Levi Straus before working in customer service and sales for Ramada Worldwide in Florence, KY. Carol then followed in the footsteps of her mother Thelma, joining Cline Chrysler Plymouth as a cashier. She worked for Cline until they were sold to the Jeff Wyler Group. Carol was promoted shortly after starting at The Wyler Group to the accounting department in Cincinnati before retiring from there in 2016. Carol then worked full time on enjoying herself with the most important things in her life, family, friends, food and fun! Carol loved many things in life but none more than the arts. She was a Renaissance woman at heart and loved taking short trips to explore cities with a special fondness for shopping in boutiques and dining on local fare. Carol loved cooking, the theater, especially the Aronoff and the movies too. Some of her favorite times were spent painting and working with family on arts and crafts. She was “The Artiste” of the family. Carol is survived by her dad Ezra Duncan, brother Tim Duncan, sister Robin Duncan Anderson; nieces Lauren Duncan Noble, Leslie Duncan Manzello and Sara Beth Anderson; nephews Tony Anderson, Mitch Anderson and Timmy Duncan; great nieces Isabella Anderson and Avery Noble; great nephews William Manzello, Wyatt Duncan Noble and James Manzello. She would also honorably mention her two besties: JoAnne Jordre Nordmeyer and Ross Hunt. Ms. Taylor will be honored in a memorial funeral service on April 2 at 9:00 AM in St. Henry Church, 3813 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018 with a celebration of her life immediately following at Erlanger Lakes Clubhouse, 125 Cave Run Drive, Erlanger, KY 41018. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at a later date. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carol’s life at St. Henry Church and the Erlanger Lakes Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Carol’s favorite charities; The American Heart Association by calling 1-800-AHA-USA1 or The American Diabetes Association 1-800-DIABETES.
