Obituary for CLYDE "SANDY" B. WOLFE

Clyde “Sandy” Wolfe, beloved father and grandfather, 71 of Florence, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 9. Sandy was a wonderful father of his three children, Jami Couzins, Stacia Burns (Michael), and Scott Wolfe (Stacey). He was also blessed with many lifelong friends and loving family members, whom some referred to him as “Sandman.” He had a close relationship with his older brother, Jerry “Nanee,” and would share many laughs of their childhood fun. Sandy also deeply loved his dog, Chloe, and would refer to her as his other daughter. For those who knew Sandy, he would often be caught talking about how much he loved his children and how proud he was of them. Sandy also dearly loved his five grandchildren Spencer, Luke, Abby, Henry, and Thomas, and another granddaughter due in May. Sandy was a man of tremendous heart and would give the shirt off his back to any one who needed it. Sandy would never be caught without wearing his famous flip-flops, even in -5 degree weather. He often reminisced about his daddy, Clyde Lee, of memories about their fishing trips and listening to his dad play the guitar and sing. Sandy loved going fishing with his son Scott and cheer for Michigan football. Although he was a big UK fan as well. He enjoyed travel and experiencing new cuisine; he was an amazing chef in the kitchen. Sandy was also an avid sports memorabilia collector, which started with his son Scott when he was little. Sandy grew up in Florence, Ky and was a 1964 graduate of Boone County High School. He spent most of his adult life in Columbus, OH. Sandy ended his successful career as a buyer for Value City after working for Rinks, Bargain City, Consolidated Department Stores, and Odd Lots. He was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel and honorably served in the Airforce. Visitation service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2-5:00 PM. A prayer service will conclude the visitation with a presentation of the flag. In lieu of flowers, please send monetary donations to: Wounded Veterans https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ Or Basset Rescue of Kentuckiana (in honor of his dog Chloe) http://bassetrescueofkentuckiana.rescueme.org/
