Obituary for Charles "Charlie" Whitlock

Charles “Charlie” R. Whitlock, 80 years of age, of Union, Kentucky entered into rest on Thursday, March 18, 2021. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Jacqueline Whitlock; son, Chuck Whitlock, daughter-in-law April, their children Charlie Whitlock III, Mackensie Whitlock, William Whitlock; daughter, Cheri Palmer, and son-in-law Dan their children and step-children Jessica Martinson, Catrina Martinson, Matthew Palmer, and Megan Homer. Charlie was born in Middlefield, Ohio to the late Harold and Esculene Whitlock. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Treend. Charlie enjoyed many ‘careers’ in his life as a business owner, realtor, and years in education teaching everything from Elementary to College Courses. He taught in California, Idaho, Alaska, Kentucky and China. Charlie will be remembered as an adventurous man who enjoyed painting, photography, chess, and motorcycles to name a few. He and his wife loved the outdoors, camping, hikes, anything with their family, and specifically feeding and watching the birds. Charlie had a great love for animals and leaves behind his beloved German Shepard, Legacy and Yorkie, Penny. He was beloved by all and a great friend to many. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations can be made in Charlie’s honor to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 51 Cavalier Blvd. Suite 200 Florence, KY 41042.
