Obituary for Craig A. Speicher
Union – Craig Alan Speicher, 60 years of age, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Craig was born in Elkhart, IN to his late parents, Donald Speicher and Beverly Speicher. Left to celebrate his life are his devoted wife of over 35 years, Susan Kay Speicher, of Union, Kentucky; son and daughter-in-law, Isaac and Katie Speicher, of Covington, Kentucky; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Emilie Speicher, of Cincinnati, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Abigail and Joshua McCord, of Anderson, Ohio; grandchildren, Theodore Craig Speicher, Arielle Kay Speicher, and an expected granddaughter in February 2021; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jay Howard, of Indianapolis, Indiana; and brother, Randall Gene Speicher, of Mishawaka, Indiana. Craig was employed as an astronautical engineer at Ball Aerospace for over 30 years. He earned his bachelors degree from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana and his masters degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He was a current student of North American Theological Seminary in their Master’s of Divinity program. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church after previously being a licensed preacher in the Presbyterian Church in America for over 20 years. He will be remembered as a man who sought to please God through his life’s actions. He lead multiple missions trips and taught at a seminary in Danske, Ukraine. One of his greatest joys was a 10 day tour in April of 2018 with his wife, Susan, to the nation of Israel. Craig loved God, loved his wife, loved his children and loved his grandchildren. A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at STITH FUNERAL HOME, 7500 U.S. HWY 42, FLORENCE, KENTUCKY 41042, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this event will be limited in attendance to invitation only. However, there will be a link provided for virtual attendance on the Stith Funeral Home webpage at www.stithfuneralhomes.com (click on Craig’s obituary). Private burial will take place in Craig’s birth town of Elkhart, Indiana at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stithfuneralhomes.com.
