Hugh Daniel, age 82 of Florence, KY died June 6, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. He owned Hugh’s Oyster House in Florence for 27 years. Hugh was a U.S. Navy and Army Veteran. He was a medic in the Korean conflict, KY Colonel and KY Admiral since 1964. He was on the Board of Directors at Latonia Race Track, one of the first members of the Lion’s Club, member of the Chamber of Commerce, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Lifetime Elks #314, commissioner of Northern KY Convention Bureau (listed on the Bell Tower in Covington) and he was chairman of the Bi-centenial Ball in 1976. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jo Ann Imfeld (nee Russo). Father of Kimberly (Robert) Bell and Donald (Marian) Imfeld. Brother of Bert (Joan) Imfeld, James (Maureen) Imfeld, Ann (Robert) Milligan, Eileen (Pete) Donahue and Loretta (Paul) Schick. Grandfather of 3 and great grandfather of 2. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Agnes (Cochran) Imfeld, brothers; Clem (Betty) Imfeld, Jr., Ferd Imfeld and sisters; Beatrice (Robert) Depweg and Rita (Norbert) Doellman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

If desired memorial contributions may be made to Mary Queen of Heaven Church or to St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice, 483 S. Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.

Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 8 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9 at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1150 Donaldson Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018.
