Obituary for Jeree Serdynski

Jeree (Valentine) Serdynski, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully March 20, 2019, with family members at her side. The 5th born child of Caleb and Nora (Garrison) Valentine (deceased). Jeree is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leon Serdynski, as well as her loving son Kevin and daughter-in-law, Tisha (Fabre) serdynski, of Vero Beach, Florida. Having been diagnosed with metastic breast cancer in September of 2011, Jeree fought this terrible disease, as well as the numerous side effects of the treatments and medications she received. Although she may have suffered in many ways, and memories may have diminished, she has never lost the love of her savior, Jesus Christ, nor her loving family. Besides her parents, Jeree is pre-deceased by her sister, Thelma (Valentine) Brown, and brothers, Kenneth of Grays, Kentucky, Carroll, of Titusville, Florida, and John of Burlington, Kentucky. She is survived by brothers, Harold, of Fort Pierce, Florida, Don (Carole) of Burlington, Kentucky, Jerry (Donna) of Hebron, Kentucky, Jimmie (Elizabeth) of Dahlonega, Georgia, and Dennie (Mary) of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Annette (Serdynski) (Arnold) Baker, of New Hudson, Michigan. Jeree will also be greatly missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends. In 2002 Jeree and Leon retired and made their home in Spanish Lakes Fairways – Fort Pierce, Florida. Jeree has always had a “competitive” nature, and at the fairways, she participated in activities such as golf, mahjong, and has been known to be just a little tough at the texas hol-em table. A bereavement service is planned at the club house of Spanish Lakes Fairways, Fort Fierce, Florida at 6 pm, April 9, 2019. Cremation services were performed by Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida, and following the transfer of her remains to her home state of Kentucky, services will be held at the Stith Funeral Home, Florence, KY on Friday, April 12, 2019. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am, immediately followed by services from 11 am to noon. Interment will be at 10 am, on April 13, 2019, at Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Erlanger, Kentucky, Rev, Brian Heckber presiding, and all family and friends are welcome to participate in this final farewell. If you desire, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to: Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce, Florida, in recognition of superior professional, and loving care provided by the ‘dove team’.
