A patron of the Cincinnati Art Museum and regular subscriber to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Opera, Jean also supported the Nature Conservancy and several animal rights organizations. In her free time, she loved swimming, golf, and bicycling. An active member of the Covington YMCA, she performed with the Mermaids, a synchronized swimming team. Jean is survived by her son, Dr. Rick Rolfes, and daughter-in-law, Deborah Kirkman, of Lexington, Kentucky; her foster son Carl J. Mark of Crescent Springs, Kentucky; brother-in-law Thomas Rolfes of Yorkstown Heights, New York; and sister-in-law Rita Viel of Harrison, Ohio.
