Obituary for Michael Crooker
Michael Crooker, age 73 of Lexington, Kentucky and formerly of Boone County, Kentucky passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021 after a long illness. Michael was born in Boone County on June 24, 1948 to Irvin Albert Crooker and Zelma Turner Crooker. Michael loved his family and especially loved his Grandchildren. He graduated from Boone County High School and then went on to attend Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He was an accountant until he retired and he enjoyed stock trading. He also loved going to the beach. Michael was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister Lena Faye Begley and Brothers John Crooker and Ray Crooker. Michael is survived by his Wife Brenda McClanahan, Brenda’s Son Rex McClanahan (Jeuarlet), Son Jesse Deemers, Daughter Catherine Goodhew, 6 Grandchildren, and his Siblings Marilyn McNabb (Norman), Carolyn Hubbard, Donald Crooker (Mari), Gary Crooker (Pat), Brenda Vaught (Jim), Pam Crooker, Kenny Crooker (Ruth), Bob Crooker (Kim), Bill Crooker (Patty), Sandy Lubbers, Marvin Crooker, and Sister-in-Law Laura Crooker. Visitation will be from 11 AM – 1 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Burlington, KY. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40504.
