Obituary for Mitchell "Mitch" Vance Marksberry

Mitchell V. “Mitch” Marksberry, 59 of Walton, KY passed away on December 17,
2017 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence. He was born on 14 April 1958 and
was the son of the late J. T. and Etta Marksberry. Mitch was a retired Boone
County Deputy Sheriff. He was also a U. S. Military veteran, having served his
country as a Naval Officer. Mitch was a teammate on the ’76 – ’77 Erlanger Lloyd
Juggernauts undefeated state football championship team. He was a fitness
enthusiast who loved spending time with family, friends and his four dogs. His
hobbies included a love for custom motorcycles, muscle cars, watching sports and
smoking cigars. He is survived by his partner Brenda Marksberry, son Kyle (Ashley)
Pennington, grandson Bennett, step-daughter Carley Ford, brothers Tim (Tracy)
Marksberry and Scott (Gwen) Marksberry, sister Nicole (Mark) Rivera and
numerous nephews and nieces. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday,
January 20, 2018 at the American Legion Florence Boone Post 4, from 5PM until
close. It’s located at 8385 U.S. Highway 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042. Inurnment take place at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown,
KY. This information will go out via social media.
