Robert Earl Tevlin, 67, passed away April 24, 2017 in Newport, KY. Bob was born in Columbus to Elmer and Frances Tevlin on June 30, 1949. He went to high school at Whetstone High School and graduated in 1967. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education from the Ohio University, 1972. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded the first Once Upon A Child franchise in Cincinnati, Ohio, over the last 25 years he expanded that to include up to 20 stores. In 2010, he sold his rights to the Cincinnati & Dayton stores. For the last six years, he focused on managing the Once Upon A Child, Plato’s Closet & Style Encore stores in Florence, KY. Over the last several years, he also invested heavily in real estate including various commercial endeavors such as Montgomery Center East and residential apartments in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky area. He enjoyed debating politics, watching movies, and spending time with his close friends and family. Bob is survived by his sister Linda Pearce; niece Nicole Pearce; sister Janice King; nephews Andrew King and Doug King; two great nephews Omar King and Joey King, and two great nieces Aasiyah King and Charlotte King. Bob will be greatly missed by family and closest of friends, Eric Duke & Norma Nelson, along with countless other friends, business associates, employees and individuals he touched with his incomparable passion to see others do well in their own lives.
