Obituary for Robert "Bubba" Smith
Robert “Bubba” Wesley Smith, 54 years age, of Salem, Alabama, formerly of Burlington, Kentucky, entered into rest on Monday, February 24, 2020. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky to his mother, Alice Mae Elkins Smith Flynn and his late father, Marvin Smith. He is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Smith. Left to mourn Bubba’s passing are his beloved wife, Amy Allgeyer Smith; his children, Courtney Rose (Bryan Baldwin), Robbie Smith, Ashley Smith, Justin Hughes, Craig Dunn (Allison), and Scott Dunn (Shyanne Wood); his dear grandchildren, Piper Rose, Emersyn Rose, Kayliegh Rose, Leighton Baldwin, Layne Baldwin, Jayden Baldwin, Gage Nikoson, Gabriel Wood, Natalie Dunn, Keira Brown, Clayton “Billy Bob” Dunn and J.T. Hughes; his stepfather, Tommy Flynn; his nephews, Austin Smith and Mason Smith; his beloved pets, Otis and Kitty Kat; and many great friends. Bubba was a diesel mechanic and the owner and operator of Big Smoke Diesel. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a love for anything diesel and particularly Ford trucks. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Stith Funeral Home, 2988 Phyllis Court, Hebron, Kentucky 41048, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. An additional visitation will take place on Monday, March 2, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service of 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Burlington Cemetery, Burlington, Kentucky.
